W88 Becomes Betting Partner of Leicester City Football Club
Asia-based online gambling company, W88, aims to strengthen its brand by signing a new multi-year official betting partnership with the Football Club.
The two-year deal between the online betting firm and the Leicester City Football Club (LCFC) will allow W88 to promote its company and brand using the pitch-side LED banners at games, as well as further marketing activities. According to W88, the agreement allows it to create its own advertising content using the LCFC footballers.
Meanwhile, the partnership will also be leveraged by the football club to spread the LCFC branding to new markets and find new fans from W88’s home operations in Asia.
We are delighted to welcome W88 to Leicester City as an Official Partner. It’s exciting to have such an ambitious brand on board and we look forward to creating unique content and offerings for our fans in the UK and around the world. – Jonathan Gregory Leicester City Commercial Director
“We are very proud to partner with Leicester City Football Club, who have experienced incredible worldwide growth since winning the Premier League in 2015/16,” said a spokesperson from W88. “We are confident that our partnership with Leicester City will allow us to bring football fans and customers in Asia closer to the Club, and we look forward to engaging with them to build lasting relationships.”
This partnership gives both businesses a powerful platform to not only connect with new and existing audiences, but also build meaningful activations to improve fan experiences. We look forward to seeing the positive long-term impact this will create for both brands.– Lee Goldwater Sales Director UK, Lagardère Sports
Many of the LCFC team members for the 2018/2019 season headed into pre-season training at Belvoir Drive this week, to get ready for the upcoming pre-season matches. While two new recruits to the team, Jonny Evans and James Maddison, were both there, the club’s international players will not be back in training until after they complete their efforts in the FIFA World Cup.
The W88 logo will also be spotted on the Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club’s training gear for the 2018/2019 season, with the two organisations also signing a two-year sponsorship deal in June 2018.
Wolves Managing Director Laurie Dalrymple said: “We are delighted to confirm W88 as our shirt sponsor for Wolves’ first season back in the Premier League and we are thoroughly looking forward to working with them moving forwards.
“The commitment they have shown Wolves even extends to them allowing their logo to be changed to black and grey to complement our old gold, rather than their brand’s usual blue colour, something which we are very grateful for.
“This partnership is certainly the largest in the club’s history, and we are looking forward to working with W88 over the next two seasons.”
